Serving Wakefield, MA

When you check out the crossover SUVs offered at Liberty Mazda in Wakefield, you will find options like the Mazda CX-5 and the Mazda CX-50. These are both small crossovers, but they deliver different experiences for you to enjoy. The Mazda CX-5 has been the best-selling crossover in Mazda's lineup for several years, and the Mazda CX-50 was just introduced in 2023 as a more rugged crossover. There are several key differences between these impressive models for you to consider before you stop by our Mazda showroom for a test drive.

Performance

The 2024 Mazda CX-5 and the Mazda CX-50 are engineered with the same two powertrains. These are a 187-horsepower, four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine and a turbo 2.5-liter, 227-horsepower engine. All trims for both models come with a six-speed auto transmission and all-wheel drive. The Mazda CX-5 has two drive modes and steering wheel paddle shifters for select trim levels. The Mazda CX-50, the other hand, has a towing mode, all-terrain tires, and steering wheel paddle shifters for select trim levels.

Appearance

The 2024 Mazda CX-5 is easy on the eyes with lean, smooth side contours and a tapered hood. It is styled with sharp, slender LED headlights that angle inward toward the wide grille. The Mazda CX-50, on the other hand, has a tall roofline with a flatter hood. The sides are smoothly sculpted with subtly rounded haunches. On the nose, the grille is more expansive, and the smaller headlights have a U-shaped LED ribbon. Both models come with 17-inch wheels or larger, a hands-free liftgate, a sunroof, daytime running lamps, adaptive headlights, and heated and power-folding side mirrors. The Mazda CX-50 is also available with roof rails.

Features

The Mazda CX-5 and Mazda CX-50 for both trim levels are comparably equipped across their trim levels. They share features like leather upholstery, a navigation system, heated seats, a surround-view camera, a Bose sound system, wireless smartphone connectivity, a head-up display, a wireless charging pad, a heated steering wheel, a driver attention warning, adaptive cruise control, driver's memory settings, remote keyless entry, a push-button ignition, and numerous others.
